TOBIAS
The Hork-Bajir hides as Tobias follows the other Controllers who are chasing Rachel and Jara Hamee. Rachel runs far ahead and jumps into a ravine, de-morphing quickly so she can morph into a world. Just as she is finished morphing Jara Hamee falls into the ravine. Looking down, the Controllers see a wolf tearing away at the Hork-Bajir's body.
CONTROLLER

(After a moment of silence.)
RACHEL
Jara Hamee pounds his chest and replies in a triumphant voice.
JARA HAMEE
No Yeerk in Jara Hamee’s head!
Without hesitation Jara Hamee slices his head open with a wrist blade and pulls open his head, revealing his brain.
RACHEL
TOBIAS
JARA HAMEE
(puts his head back together. The wound clots almost immediately.)
See, Andalites? No Yeerk in Jara Hamee’s head.
RACHEL
TOBIAS

(Sarcastically)
A shot is fired at Rachel. Human Controllers on dirt bikes rumble by, those with guns shooting at the pair of them.
TOBIAS
Tobias dives at one of the Controllers and slashes his face with his talons.
CONTROLLER
Shoot the birds! They may be Andalite scum!
RACHEL
TOBIAS
He flies ahead of her. They speed past trees and almost run into two Hork-Bajir. One is bleed

JAKE
(very quietly)
Andalite scum.
RACHEL
Whoa…whoa, maybe Ax is right.
JAKE
Look, I’m tired, okay? Ax just scared me.
TOBIAS
Jake smiling hopelessly at Cassie, who is not smiling back.
AX
JAKE
(snaps)
